It's a final day of our poker festival in Kaya Artemis & Resort & obviously the time has come for the final tables.
At 11:00 IPT Championship started. The beginning was brutal for yesterday's leaders - Yair Yakov Ohayon busted in 11th place, Egor Gerasimchuk finished 10th, Kfir Yamin's hopes to win were crushed when he went out in 9th. Soon there were 5 players remaining - Russia was represented by Alexander Ovechkin & Alex Kravchuk was the sole Ukrainian representative. Unfortunately for them they were not able to put a serious fight for the title & $30,000 first prize. Kravchuk busted in 5th, Ovechkin finished 4th.
The 3-handed battle featured two time IPT Championship finalist Shlomi Shimoni (Israel), Salim Boukrouma (France) and future winner Moshe Gaon (Israel).
A bit later it was time to finish GT Live Main Event. This event was halted at 8 AM with 6 players remaining. There were not so many players from Israel in this event, but somehow they completely dominated the final hours of play on Saturday. Nikolay Prokhorsky went out on the bubble simultaneously with the other player (they chopped the 15th prize) and then Russians took all places from 14th to 11th. Last Russian standing Igor Leshkov finished 9th.
An overall victory was secured by Shay Rabinovich who outplayed Itzhak Mizrachi heads-up. Ilon Boujenah finished 6th.
Russian-speaking players felt the taste of the revenge only in the last hyper turbo event - it was finally won by Nikolay Prokhorsky who broke his unlucky streak.
Saturday is traditionally the most tense day at GT Live events! IPT Championship was stopped after 10 levels with 12 players remaining. Two chip leaders are Alexander Ovechkin (Russia) & Yair Yakov Ohayon (Israel), both frontrunners have more than 900,000. The winner of GT Live Main Event in November Egor Gerasimchuk has the 3rd stack, and Kfir Yamin from Israel who is definitely the loudest player in the building is a close fourth.
At 20:00 $1,000 GT Live Main Event started. 29 players qualified through the flights during first few days of the festival, and 74 participants entered by paying a full buy-in. The prizepool exceeded the guaranteed $75,000...first prize is $20,000.
At 3 AM there were 26 players, and they'll play til the early morning hours. Believe it or not, Alexander Ovechkin is one of the leaders in that one also. Also in the mix there is Ilon Boujenah, probably the most well-known guest of our event, who final tabled Partouche Poker tour back in 2011.
